An expoloration in self branding, this project explored traditional methods of typography and blank carving.
Main mediums for application testing included wood and heavy stock paper.
Initial carvings were produced on particle board mounted linoleum. The inking and application process proved difficult with these carvings. The ink adhered unevenly to the surface of the blank, creating irregular stamp patters.
Later carvings employed solid linoeum blanks. The compressibility of this medium allowed for more even application of ink.
While undesired, the uneven ink application created interesting effects when reapplied multiple times.
